Fall-ing Behind No More

I've been taking lots of long walks lately with our new dog.  It makes me exercise, plus gives me much needed thinking time.

What have I been thinking about? That I've suddenly become so busy that I haven't had time to post everything swirling in my garden brain...design hints, garden terms, personal stories, flower arrangements.  The list goes on and on.  The good news is that I'm really enjoying teaching landscape design, the bad news is that I haven't been able to translate all that new excitement here.  But I promise to change that soon!

Until then enjoy this mesmerizing photo by sparks of fire.  It made me realize it's been over a year since I started this blog, plus it conjured up all the good feelings I have about fall.  Ah, I really love it right now.

The Quickly Approaching Fall

It's dark and gloomy outside...and that's okay.  I enjoy the days getting shorter and being able to jump into my jammies a little earlier each night.  I love fall and revel in the new colors, cool days, and misty air.

It's even better when you find beautiful photos like these from Vladimir Longauer...that remind me of this lovely season.  Okay, the second one may be a touch of spring, but it has that autumn mistiness.
